Towing around Montreal

Montreal is an island, so almost every towing trip starts on a bridge — and most weekend runs head north to the Laurentians or east to the Eastern Townships. Quebec's brake rule has two tests: over 1,300 kg loaded, or over half the weight of your tow vehicle. On a compact SUV the second test arrives surprisingly early, so check your vehicle's weight before assuming a small trailer is exempt.
